Personal:

I have been running every sense I started middle school at Orem Jr. high then went on to high school at Mountain View.  In college I ran one semester at BYU-HAWAII then went on a LDS Mission to Portland, Oregon.  After the mission I went to SUU and then after college I thought I could become a sponsored triathlete but I swam like a brick.  Finally after two years of trying to be an elite triathlete I found my love for running again and am putting all my training into half marathons and marathons.  I have just started volunteering at my old high school as an assistant coach and loving it.  Go Bruins!!!

So I thought I would try this finally.  (The blog thing not the racing) I ran a local turkey trot and warmed up w/ 2 miles and the race was 4 miles long.  1st mile - 6 mins, 2nd mile 6 1/2 mins 3rd mile 6 mins 4th mile 5 1/2 min finishing time 24:15. I didn't register for the race just jumped in and talked with a buddy for the 1st 2 miles.  then I did a n easy 2 mile warm down after the race.  all in all it was a good day to run in a race.

did a hard run up provo canyon and started at the mouth of the canyon and went to bridalviel (?) falls in 26mins and then back in 24 mins.  Hurt a little but felt good to run hard again.

Well I was going to go easy today because of the two hard days of running before but the way my body felt today was just unbelievable.  First I procrastinated my run and went and played paintball for like 5 hours and that is like doing wind sprints.  So after that I was pretty wasted and feeling pretty sore, so I took a 20 min nap and then headed off for my run.  I went around Orem city again but tacked on another block to my run and went 7 miles in 40mins.  I'm feeling like a runner again instead of a fat jogger.  I was floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee.

Well the three hard days and one day off caught up to me today and I felt it in for the first 20 mins on my run but then the next 30 I got more loose and more comfortable with my stride. All in all it was good run.

Feels like I'm turning back into a real runner again.  Forcing myself to slow down, so I don't get injured.  I also need some new shoes, but don't worry I ordered 2 new pair shoes.

Sad that I had to run by myself.  Run went well, it wes pretty cold las night wore gloves for the first time this season.  My right new cap is killing me for some reason.  I think I got it from paintballing last weekend and it hasn't heald but it seems to be getting worse everytime I run on it.  It feels like a bone broose. Hopefully not.  Anybody going to run the west rim trail this weekend?

I don't think that my knee pain is from paintballing but is probably from overtrianing. I did a self diagnosis and I think it is Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome a.k.a. "runners knee". WHY ME! rested today no running.  Well I did go mountain biking for an hour and half to get some training in.
