Personal:

I have been running every sense I started middle school at Orem Jr. high then went on to high school at Mountain View.  In college I ran one semester at BYU-HAWAII then went on a LDS Mission to Portland, Oregon.  After the mission I went to SUU and then after college I thought I could become a sponsored triathlete but I swam like a brick.  Finally after two years of trying to be an elite triathlete I found my love for running again and am putting all my training into half marathons and marathons.  I have just started volunteering at my old high school as an assistant coach and loving it.  Go Bruins!!!

Well its been a while sense I logged any of my runs.  Guess I couldn't give away my secrets before and after the race.  It was a really fun race especially leading the first three miles of the race.  I thought I wasn't going to maintain that fast of a pace when nobody decided to go with me but decided to test out my body just to see what it could handle for my 1st half marathon and was 50 sec. ahead of goal time so I was very happy with that.  The only thing that wasn't fun was loosing to Nic again, no j/k he is a great runner and I just need to work on getting faster so I can catch him.  He actually helped me out a lot in the race in maintaining my race pace and pushing me to a faster finishing time then I wanted.  Well this week is almost up and if I finish it out right it should be my first 80 miler week, YES!  Well congrats to everyone that ran the race.  Hope you had as much fun as I did.  Good luck in the upcoming races.  Next one for me is Moab half anybody signed up to race?

Added 4 more miles tonight.

Oops didn't want to go that fast for that run. Need to learn pace better when I run by myself. All in all it was a hard run but exciting to know that I can run that kind of a pace after long milage day's and a strength workout the day before. 1:55.00 run, 6:20/mile

WOW!!  I hit some running landmarks in my career this day, week, and month.  1st this day I did my first 20 mile run well 20.5 mile to be exact and in 2hrs9mins16secs, 6.17/mile.  This week reached my highest milage ever 82miles, 8hrs47mins4secs, 6.25/mile in one week.  This month was the highest milage I have ever done, 320miles in one month.  Plus I just bought some new shoes.  Moab watch out here I come.
